Album ~ Florence Wedding

Another new album has been added to our Albums page... Ryan & Jessica's Breckenridge wedding...
Jessica & Ryan came up with a very original idea for their album... instead of a standard guestbook they had everyone sign and leave a note on cards for them. Afterwards they went through and chose some of the best ones and had me scan them in and add them to their album... check it out it turned out really cool!
I'm working hard on the albums of all the people who have gotten back to me so far. As everyone knows it's a long process for both my design and for the binding company. I wish it was quicker, but not much can be done about that so I do apologize. I'm trying to get the bulk of them done before the holidays so you will have something to show family members over the holidays. If we do not have your album placed and sent to the binding companies before Thanksgiving there is a pretty good bet that you will not get it until after Christmas or New Years as this is the busiest time of the year for these companies. So as soon as I get your 1st draft up please review it and can back to me as soon as you can so that we can make this deadline.

We received this "Thank You" card in the mail today from Tanja and Ben from their Aug 26th wedding! Awesome... I love when creative people can do their own thing with the photos we provide for them... one of the advantages of keeping all the negatives! Tanja printed up wallet sized prints and then stuck them on her own Thank You cards with photo corners. She mentioned to me that was how she wanted to do her entire wedding album as well to keep with the 50's theme she had going... and I would expect nothing less from this "do it herself" lady!


And if maybe you're not as creative or just don't have the time to put into a project like this yourself we also can provide you with photo invitations and thank you cards! I've been working with some excellent companies and have some very creative options as well.

Wedding ~ Rachel & Matt

Rachel and Matt were married at The Timbers Hotel in Denver today. An excellent facility with a top notch staff that catered to their every need. I suggested that instead of doing a receiving line that the couple should do a group photo with all of their guests, a wonderful way to commemorate everyone who attended and perfect for a small to medium size wedding. We decided on a location and were able to set up everything beforehand with the hotel's wedding coordinator... the officiant asked that all the guests go outside into the courtyard after the ceremony and then Mike and I had access to one of the rooms on the 2nd floor so that we could get the higher angle of the guests... this is quickly becoming a very popular alternative to the receiving line and takes a fraction of the time allowing you and your guests to get on to the party quicker... the bride & groom usually finish their meals first leaving them with enough time to go from table to table greeting their guests in a more relaxed atmosphere. Senior ~ Jake

We had such a time with trying to get Jake's senior photos taken! The weather just was not cooperating with us! We rescheduled 3 times! And I guess the third one was the charm! And just in time as it snowed that evening again! We started out at Chautauqua Park in Boulder... one of my favorite places to shoot! And then Jake mentioned he was in a band and I said, well where's your guitar and we took a side trip to his home to get it before heading over to a lake by his house... this made his photos a little more personalized! And who knows... he may become a rock star someday and I can say I photographed him first!

Engagement ~ Samantha & John

I think we had one of the last warm Sundays for a while... so it was great to take advantage of it at Washington Park for John and Samantha's engagement photos. I came up with an idea to rent one of the cart/bicycles that they lend out at the boathouse there. I thought it would add an element of fun to their portrait session. I had fun and I think they did as well... Since they are made for four people I even got to ride on it ie. help peddle it! Headshots ~ Lina

Lina is applying to an acting school in Mexico and needed some photos to turn in with her application. It was a lot of fun getting to know her and her friend while we were taking those photos! Portraits ~ Standley Lake HS Gymnastic Team

It was my pleasure to photograph the Standley Lake High School's gymnastic team this year. This is the first time I had the privillage to do the job. They picked a wonderful time of year to do these photos... the fall colors are right at their peak now! What a classy bunch of ladies... I tried to make the photos as fun as possible... so I hope they enjoyed the shoot as much as I did! The photo below is one of the fun shots of the group that I had them do at the end! Most of them won't get to see this one!

Engagement ~ Sheila & Sam

Another wet day in Colorado... fall is here and almost over... consequently I've been photographing a bunch of engagement sessions lately! Everyone wants their photos taken before we lose all the brilliant colors! Sheila & Sam have a July church wedding planned.
