Just received the Save the Date card that Victoria & Michael's Wedding Planner, Wendee at Let's Plan It put together for them with one of their engagement photos! Just darling, as the photo was placed on top of the ribbon that goes around the card. Can't wait to take their photos in May!

Date Availability Update!

So just thought I'd mention how our wedding calendar is shaping up for 2007! This year promises to be the biggest one ever! Spring still has a few dates available as we are only booked for one or two weddings every month, but come summer there are not a lot of dates available anymore! Great for us, but bad for brides. And Fall is starting to book up as well. Rather than write them all out here I prefer you just call to double check as we cover both photo & video and I can also check to see if the DJs we represent are free as well. Availability changes daily and no dates are guranteed saved until we are under contract with a retainer fee from you. Here is a little time management calendar below to help those of you planning a wedding to decide in what order you should hire vendors...

First Tier: Ceremony Site & Reception Site (These are absolutely critical as you need to have a confirmed wedding date before you begin looking for other vendors. Popular sites usually book a year or more out in advance. I know of one place that is already booking into 2009!)

Second Tier: Photography, Videography, Entertainment (This is the next big expense on your list and also the one that often times is a business that is runned by just a handfull of people, usually allowing them to service only one wedding at a time, so once it's booked it's booked!)

Third Tier: Decorators, Florists, Bakers, Transportation, Etc. (These types of businesses can often times handle a few weddings at a time since they usually drop off their products or are only needed for a couple hours. Although they are very important as well you can usually find one that can service more than one wedding at a time leaving you more time to pick those services)

I love to recommend vendors! I've been around Colorado weddings for a long while and I've seen the best and the worst of all types of vendors. If you're having trouble finding the perfect florist, wedding planner, etc. Just give me a call or email and I can give you a few in almost every category to call and meet with. All of which we've either worked with or know personally!

Portraits for Taleen

So today my house became beauty salon central! Taleen, a friend and colleague of mine has decided to go back to school to become a beautician. Not like she is talented enough already as she finished school last year with a degree in computer animation! Anyways, she wants to use all of her skills to open a hip trendy salon and needs to acquire a license for hair & make-up. One of the school's requirements is a video essay. So I spent the day with her as she gave makeovers to all of her friends taking photos of everyone as well as shooting video! It was a lot of fun... can't wait to see the final product! And I'm absolutely sure she will be accepted.

We can be hired for any kind of video shoot large or small.... whether you need a video to show off your talents for college entrance, to promote a new product or service, or even your kids' birthday party! Weekends are kind of hard to book us for them as we do lots and lots of weddings, but we're almost always available during the week for small projects and you never know there may be an off chance that we're not booked on a Saturday that we can be of service! Assisting - Digital DJ

Wedding Magnets

Michelle & Keith want to have their engagement photos put on magnets to hand out to their guests for wedding favors! What a cute idea! So I just finished designing a few samples for them personalized with their own wedding colors... I love being able to offer something that is unique to the couple as well as affordable as you can order as many as you need, not a standard amount!

Another wonderful gift for a special someone... Nicole contacted me before the holidays to have me take some romantic photos of herself for her Christmas gift to her boyfriend... so again I was happy to oblige. What a cutie! And we had a lot of fun taking them! I wanted to wait until after Christmas to post them... just in case the gift was ruined, although she seemed excited to be featured on our website which of course I always double check if it's o.k. with more revealing photos!
