Interesting Blog - I Found Your Camera

I just wanted to do a post about this blog I saw.... it's called "I Found Your Camera" It's a site for that people can post pictures that they found from cameras, photo cards for cameras, prints etc. that were left behind somewhere in the hopes of reuniting them with their owners. What an amazing idea! Years ago when I worked in a one hour photo lab it used to surprise me how many people would leave their images behind by forgetting to pick them up at the lab. I always desperately wanted to return the images to their owners. This site does just that.... cherished memories that can't be retaken! Check it out!

Gallery Show at The Tango House

Happy Halloween everyone! Mike and I went to the gallery show opening and costume party at The Tango House for The Photo Martini Club's show: Balance tonight and boy did we go all out on our costumes this year! I wanted to do Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI... I think we succeeded! I just joined The Photo Martini Club so this is the first show I've done with them and it was a lot of fun! I mainly joined the group to connect with other photographers and to inspire myself to do more personal work and get my creative juices flowing again. We had so much fun I'm pretty sure I will be participating in future shows with the club. If you'd like to see what is showing for "Balance" the gallery will be up still until November 2nd or you can go to The Photo Martini website and take a look at their publication "Shot!" magazine which has both a printed and an online version. My two pieces are also for sale, if you are interested in purchasing please contact me directly. Thanks and enjoy!

Portrait ~ Lauren

Lauren and I created a calendar for her husband who has been recalled to active duty with the military. He will be leaving for Afghanistan end of October and will be stationed there for a year so she wanted him to have a way to think about her everyday he was gone! Awww! So she came to me with this project! We had a lot of fun, the ideas were all hers... and we did a separate photo shoot for each month of the year! Lauren is so pretty she makes a perfect model, she was easy to photograph and we had fun doing it! If you are interested in putting a project like this together for someone you love. Give me a call!

Photos ~ The Archive

I spent the afternoon with the band, The Archive! What a fun bunch of guys... all of these ideas were the bands. They were tired of seeing all the same band photos... so they decided to put a twist on it. The results of the brainstorming are what follows:
