Pepsico, Int. ~ Corporate Event

We had the pleasure of covering Pepsico, International's conference at the Westin in Westminster, CO this week. Four full days of events including: the meet & greet, speakers, workshops, trade show booths, plant tour, & their event dinner with entertainment. They also requested that we do a group photo of them on Wednesday with 140 prints and a slideshow from the event delivered Thursday morning! Needless to say it was a long week for me and my support team of my husband! We were up to the wee early morning hours on Wednesday getting everything prepared for Thursday. All in all I had a great experience working for this company and I met a lot of wonderful people and also have

a new found respect for what the manufacturing & distribution companies have to do to make their businesses work! And I must say that the funests parts were touring the bottling company in downtown Denver and seeing The Raspyni Brothers perform at the formal dinner. Wedding ~ Tiffany & Darryl

Tiffany & Darryl held their wedding at Faith Community Lutheran Church in Longmont with a reception that followed at Twin Peaks Golf Club. Tiffany and I went to high school together back in South Dakota, so it was kind of fun doing a wedding for someone I knew... seeing how much she has changed, yet stayed the same! It turned out to be a very nice and sunny day which is hit and miss in Colorado at the end of September so we were happy that it worked out that way because of the planned outdoor photos along with the the dancing taking place on the patio at the reception facility. My husband was the DJ for the event with his company, Digital DJ. Everything went perfectly and I was very excited to see Tiffany & Darryl so happy! Congratulations again to you both! Message from Santa

Just wanted to put out a message for Santa Claus! He emailed me from the North Pole and asked if I would share his info with everyone for the upcoming holiday season! Portraits ~ Standley Lake HS Gymnastic Team

We photographed Standley Lake High School's gymnastics team again this year! I always have fun with this group of girls and the photos always look amazing thanks to their grace and style. Looking forward to many years with them!

Wedding ~ Jazmine & Eric

Eric & Jazmine were another out of town couple that I never had the pleasure of meeting until the day of the event. It was strange how many of those I had this year, but nevertheless made it all the more exciting! I was privillaged to photograph their wedding, not only because of the wonderful location I had never been to before, but this couple was very much in love! Everytime you turned around they were kissing and posing for the camera! They were married at Green Gables Country Club in Denver. Spectacular views & photo opportunties! I highly recommend them! Video ~ The Rising Curtain Theatre Academy

The Rising Curtain Theatre Academy perfomed Disney's High School Musical this week for their fans! We were asked to videotape their Thursday night's performance for the cast. It turned out to be an excellent production and a fun group to work with... look for the copies to return to Tammy at the theatre around the 2nd week of October.

Trash Your Dress!!

So my husband has been teasing me all this month as I finally started looking into doing something with some of my own wedding stuff from last year! I made a shadow box with some of the items from our wedding: ie. programs, napkins, favors, etc. and actually framed one of our wedding photos to hang in our room.... yeah now not all of the wedding photos hanging up in our home are of other couples!!! Mike says, "Ah, you too can find ways to keep reliving your wedding over and over forever and ever!" I just laughed... as I finally understand the wedding withdrawal that every bride goes through!!! You spend so many months planning for the big event and then in a blink of an eye it's over... that's why the photos & video are so important!!! It's all you have left after the last piece of cake is ate and the guests have all gone home!

Well, my friend, Faith and I have found yet another way to relive the wedding day again by a new fad called "Trashing Your Dress" now you can take this as far as you want to go... She was visiting Colorado from her new home, England and we decided to try this out and I went all the way... I threw on my dress that had been sitting there waiting to be taken to the cleaners since last year and we went to one of those outdoor fountains at a mall that you can run through... and run through it I did! It was a lot of fun! Kind of a stress releaver! And we got some fun images out of it! Senior ~ Dakota

Dakota traveled to Denver from Nebraska to have me take his Senior Portraits. I photographed his sister for her senior photos last year as well so it's nice getting to meet more famlily members. He and his mother told me about wanting to take his photos at Invesco field... something I wasn't sure about arranging, but with a little resourcefulness I was able to pull it off! I think it's a once in a lifetime opportunity and something I can't really use or abuse as I'm sure if the word gets out they won't be letting anyone else do their photos there! But we had a fabulous time... and got quite the tour of the Broncos Stadium. I'm hoping these photos will bring him some cherished memories for years to come! Wedding ~ Charlata & Richard

We covered our first Hindu wedding at Willow Ridge Manor today! It's different from the typical weddings that I've done with a lot of unique customs... but also a lot of fun to photograph. Lata & Rick were one of the happiest couples I've ever seen! They were just having fun and smiling the entire time. The expressions and emotions that I captured on these two and their guests will stay with me for a long time... and a perfect end to a great summer! Fall will be a bit more relaxing for us... I can get caught up on some albums for couples, meet with couples for next summer, revamp the website again, and enter some photo contests!
