Get to know your photographer! As a way of reaching my clients on a more personal level I decided that sharing my daily photos and thoughts would be a great addition to my website... so here it is a Colorado photographer's blog!

Shelby & Jacques were married west of Vail and Avon on a ranch called the Lazy J Ranch. It had a beautiful view of the mountains and a rustic charm... I also really loved the colors Shelby picked as I had never seen them put together before: pink & orange !! It made for a really unique wedding! Thanks to everyone who endured me putting them in the hot sun for formal photos and to keeping a cheery attitude through it all! To see more photos from their day go back to our website and click on the "Click Here to View Your Event" link at the login type: lengerich1 password: wedding to see ceremony picks, to see formals login: lengerich2 password: wedding and to view the reception login: lengerich3 password: wedding. If you do decide to order prints and you would like photos from different galleries please order them at one time so you will only be charged the shipping charge once.

To end the week of what I'm referring to affectionately as the "week of engagements" I met Kristin & Jay in Golden to take their engagement portraits. We had a nice little hike down by the river in one of my favorite spots to do photos and luckily it was early enough... before it became scorching hot as it tends to do in July sometimes! They told me they had never had professional photos taken of themselves before so I tried my hardest to make it a fun and memorable experience for the both of them. It was also a great trial run before their wedding in September. Can't wait to be there to cover it... we're going to have a lot of fun!!
Another really good set of friends of ours surprised us this month with an engagement / wedding! Devon found out he has been called back to active duty with the military and will be leaving at the end of the week... so he proposed to his girlfriend and they did a quickie civil service before he's being deployed... we were fortunate enough to be able to spend one of his last days in Colorado with the two of them at their engagement party at Hibachi Grill in Westminster tonight. Knowing that they don't have a lot of photos of the two of themselves together I asked them to pose for a few shots. Better than that... Devon in a playful mood picked up Lauren and ran through the fountain at the promenade. Some really great, fun shots!! We wish you a safe and speedy return from where ever our government is sending you... and are looking forward to a big wedding when you are back!! Lots of love... we'll be thinking about you and keeping Lauren company while you are gone!

The wedding of Cielle to Brandon at Red Craggs Estate in Colorado Springs on Independence Day was one of the most elegant and amazing weddings I've ever seen, and believe me I've seen a lot! One of the main reasons being... Cielle and Brandon! A beautiful couple with very large hearts as well as a beautiful location with a majestic view of the mountains! They say when it rains on your wedding day it is a sign of good luck, for me as a photographer I almost always question that reasoning except for this wedding... the clouds held out until just after the formal portraits and then let lose a huge downpour... by that time everyone was safe inside the tent and after the rain storm a beautiful rainbow appeared... just another beautiful blessing for this couple. Thanks again for sharing this day with us... Mike and I will gladly give up a holiday for you two anytime because you are such a joy to work with... all our best!
